Terms of service

These terms keep things clear and fair for both of us.

Quotes

Assessments and quotes are free and carry no obligation. A quote covers the work described in it; if the job turns out to be bigger once opened up (it happens with water damage and old wiring), I'll stop and agree the change with you before continuing.

Workmanship

I stand behind my work. If something I did fails within a reasonable time because of how I did it, I come back and make it right at no charge. This doesn't cover normal wear, pre-existing problems, or damage caused by others.

Regulated work

Certain electrical and plumbing work legally requires a registered professional and a certificate of compliance. I'll tell you upfront when your job falls in that category and refer you to a registered specialist rather than do it improperly.

Payment

Payment terms (deposit for materials, payment on completion) are agreed per job in writing — usually on WhatsApp, which suits both of us as a record.
